The answer really depends on several factors such as your program (i.e., the component sensitivity you’re trying to protect), how the operator is positioned while working on ESD Susceptible components, etc. In general, the full length will provide a bit more protection in covering the street clothing a ways below the waist, especially useful for folks that stand a lot in front of their work area or when pushing carts loaded with sensitive product.
